The Port Pass wallet lets your company add funds in advance and use those funds to pay for Port Passes later. This is useful when your company prefers paying by bank transfer instead of paying each pass purchase separately by card.
You can top up your wallet from Billing & Invoicing. After Port Pass receives the bank transfer and matches it to the payment instructions, the wallet balance is topped up automatically.
Wallet top-up rules
Wallet top-ups have the following rules:
Top-ups start at €1,250 and increase in multiples of that amount.
A fixed payment fee of €99 is added to each top-up, regardless of the top-up amount.
No additional payment fee is charged when you later buy Port Passes with wallet funds.
If your company needs a PO number on the payment documents, you can add it when you create the payment invite.
Request a wallet top-up
To initiate a wallet top-up:
Log in to the Port Pass Portal.
Go to Billing & Invoicing.
Click Add Pay by Bank Transfer (Min. €1,250).
Choose the wallet top-up amount.
Add a PO number if your company requires one.
Review the total amount, including the fixed payment fee.
Click Create payment invite.
Port Pass then creates an advance invoice with payment instructions. Use these payment instructions to initiate the bank transfer.
If you added a PO number, it is included on the advance payment instructions and on the top-up invoice that is created afterwards.
After the bank transfer
After Port Pass receives the bank transfer and can match it correctly to the payment instructions, your company wallet balance is topped up automatically.
You can then use the wallet balance to buy Port Passes. When you buy a pass with wallet funds:
no payment fee is charged for that pass purchase
an invoice with an amount to pay of €0 is generated
the correct pass amount, including VAT, is deducted from your wallet balance
Wallet inactivity
If wallet funds remain inactive for 3 years, the remaining funds can be repaid. Contact our support team via the Intercom messenger in the Port Pass Portal to request the repayment.
